The BBC planned to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Doctor Who with the creation of an online archive of over 800 episodes. The network has now confirmed a new series, Tales of the TARDIS, that will launch alongside the new website.

The new spin-off was announced by the BBC, along with the website’s new official name, The Whoniverse. Beginning on November 1, the Whoniverse will be the official name, and dedicated home, for all the Doctor Who series and spin-offs on BBC iplayer. This includes Tales of the TARDIS, which is described as “the first original Whoniverse series.” This suggests more new series may be in the works.

CLassic is far better than NuWho. Check Caves of Androzani, Curse of Fenric, Ambassadors of Death, Tomb of Cybermen, Talons of Weng Chiang.

New Dr. Who is unwatchable to me because it is less interested in telling a good sci fi story than it is in pandering to some agenda. The pace of the stories is like it’s on crank.

Told my nephew, you have to consider/forgive outdated science theories, little to no FX budget and rushed production. With the unions, as soon as it’s closing time the lights went off, even in the middle of a scene.
