There have been 1,645 confirmed cases of cyclosporiasis acquired in the United States since May 1, and more than 5,100 additional cases are being investigated, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Tuesday — a sharp increase in cases compared with recent years.
CNN spoke to doctors on the possible source of the outbreak and efforts to counter the parasite.

There are alwaaays mass recalls on leafy green 😅 But when it gets to major news like this it means someone at the FDA isn’t doing their job correctly. Ive Worked at food places and supermarkets for years, and had to do recalls on many foods for this EXACT reason. This means the people that are supposed to be testing food are NOT and generally supermarkets are aware before the public and don’t actually have to tell people about w.e outbreak there is in their supermarket. 🎉
