The scale was not accurate. Gargantua was said in the movie to have a 100 million solar masses. Using the Schwarzschild radius formula to calculate the radius of the event horizon it would mean that it stretches twice the distance of earth to our sun. There’s a frame in the movie where you can clearly see Miller’s planet above the accretion disk of the black hole. If that frame were accurate Miller’s planet would not be visible to the naked eye.

The accretion disk isn’t actually the same dimensions as the event horizon. The event horizon can be much bigger or vice versa.
But did you account for the neutron decomposer accelerating at the same dilution frequency of mass as the decombobulator?

@Arjunpathak2910 The waves are large because of the black hole, Gargantua, pulls the water towards itself. This is because Miller’s Planet orbits Gargantua so close. I doubt it gets deeper, they walked more than 200 meters.
