In October 2025, one of Darfur’s largest cities fell to the Sudanese paramilitary RSF, and videos of mass killings went viral. Three weeks later, a Reuters team was among the first journalists on the ground in neighboring Chad to meet survivors at the border.

This documentary combines witness testimony with hundreds of online videos to investigate what happened during the RSF’s final assault on the city of al-Fashir, identifying senior commanders present during what the U.N. would term “hallmarks of genocide.” The documentary contains scenes of graphic violence that may disturb some viewers.
