Da Hool shares the story behind one of dance music’s most recognisable tracks, ‘Meet Her At The Love Parade’.

Released in 1997, the track was the lead single from Da Hool’s second album. It became a breakthrough anthem for the German DJ, seeing chart success around Europe.

Here, Da Hool tells DJ Mag about his history with dance music and the influence of Berlin’s famous Love Parade festival, which the track’s title and music video pay homage to. Da Hool reveals how the track was made spontaneously after returning home from dancing all day at the massive, city-wide event.

He also shares the story behind its video, Tiësto’s remix, and one featuring David Guetta and 50 Cent remix that never saw the light of day.

Da Hool reflects on the tracks’ legacy, and how almost 30 years later, it’s as popular as its ever been.

In our series, DJ Mag explores the tales behind some of the world’s favourite dance tracks, told by the people that made them.
