I just rewatched The Newsroom,great show about honest journalists.
Complete respect for this woman. You can tell she means what she says about Murrow… she has so clearly worked to make that the gold standard for her own professional legacy. Collins and Amanpour are at the top of my list for icons of this generation’s journalistic integrity.
This is everything wrong with USA “News.” No time to gather facts yet the talking heads continue speaking on their opinions due to some boss pushing the anchor to make a statement for views and opinions.
She is always professional.

She’s intelligent and she speaks well. In terms of integrity and rigor if Fox News is a 3 on a 1-10 scale, CNN and Kaitlin are 4-5. That’s mass media in America – it is there to make you feel smart, excite your passions, and sell you stuff.. CNN puts out plenty of “misinformation” if it fits the narrative their viewers like. The level of praise and delusion in these comments is funny.

And yet you still haven’t corrected that Charlie Kirk was murdered by an ultra-rightwing groyper, NOT a liberal. And the fact that Congresswoman Giffords was shot in the head by a lunatic rightwinger after Republican politicians like Sarah Palin put a LITERAL target on her face in their campaign ads, is COMPLETELY downplayed. Instead, CNN has let the rightwing flip the narrative to somehow everything being leftwing violence, when in FACT political violence is OVERWHELMINGLY rightwing. Including by Proud Boys who’ve joined ICE Stasi just so they can beat up more people.
