The earliest known reference for the phrase “Trail of Tears” is in 1908, 70 years after the US government bought the tribal lands in the South for above market rate prices. And it did not become a popular term until after 1968 when AIM (American Indian Movement) began using it.
The Tulsa Massacre is misdirection because it is looked at in isolation. The misrepresented narrative is that the black population of Tulsa were only protected an accused child grape from being lynched by racists who were doing so only because he was black. They should also understand that shortly before a white man was accused of the same thing, and the “racists” actually lynched the white guy because of the act. Secondly, the first shots were from the black mob protecting the accused abuser. Overwhelming response to violent action should clearly show that it was a response, proportional or not.
