Gotta love The Master even in Classic Who usually moustache twirling villains don’t really work but The Master does because they are that and so much more I think it’s actually crazy how long Antony Ainley played The Master he went up against The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th Doctors I can’t really say much for the other Masters because I haven’t seen much of them I’ve seen The Tremas Master because I watched The Five Doctors this may be a hot take but I actually really dig The Crispy Masters/The Decayed Masters I just love the design mainly the Peter Pratt one I think that whole look for The Master is really interesting and shows the audience what kind of a character they are refusing to die even when out of regenerations because that is such a Master thing to do The Doctor is afraid of dying but The Master straight up doesn’t want to well then things got complicated anyway I really enjoy villains/antagonist who are the direct opposite of the hero/protagonist because of the whole dynamic of how similar they are but how different they are and The Doctor and The Master fit this this perfectly

His first appearance and after that he was never forgotten by the fans of Doctor who it’s a shame though that the 9th and the 11th doctor never faced their own version of the master. It would have been so fun to see their versions of the master
