i was watching Maigret last night , 1960’s version. and he screams at his sergeant. SHUT THAT DOOR. Like larry grayson. and then the other door, a knock. and i shouted OPEN THAT DOOR. i started to laugh my socks off. that should be a comedy sketch. SHUT THE DAMN DOOR. Open the door. its absurd.
i also watched a BBC documentary about old trains, and dining cars, and how its all changed for the worse, then i realized its better? in all the old tv shows, like the SAINT? or Danger MAN. or from Russia with Love, they have compartments, to sit 6-8 people? in these stories a man rapes a woman? or shoots a man. or maligns someone as they have screened windows. its a device in many cases in movies, to do some criminal act. now today its all gone. its forward facing seats. no more closed off rooms.
i misunderstood what barbara meant in the clip at 1:46, didn’t quite get what was funny about it.
but then i started watching classic doctor who. what i missed is that they just flat out refused to help the old man and are headed back to the tardis. she’s basically saying “well sucks to be that guy” lmao
