@ownknow8161you obviously didn’t watch def jam enough because mediocre was the case 50% of the episode most times. In most episodes the closer was in most cases the only funny one and that wasn’t always a given because most times we really tuned in to see martins monologue at the beginning and hoped at least one person was funny. So by all standards having three legendary comedians on the same show was the anomaly

He did not belong in a segment which featured other comedians whose performances overpowered his. He was clearly the weaker link, in the midst of an otherwise more powerful episode. I said what I said, and I am adamant about it.*
