It was an inane greedy decision to sack JC Ferrero, who strongly advised against playing exhibition tennis matches. But he and his dad wanted the money. Now due to overplay, he misses out on the very big tournaments. JC is a wise coach who was looking out for Carlos.

The Mathematical Reality of the Modern Era. Height of Grand Slam Winners: Over the last 20 years, the vast majority of men’s Grand Slam titles have been won by players standing 6’1″ or taller. The Serve Advantage: Modern rackets allow a 6’4″ player to bomb serves at speeds and angles that a 5’8″ player’s biomechanics simply cannot replicate. Taller players get more “free points” and expend much less energy holding serve over a grueling two-week tournament. The Baseline Grind: Because modern strings create massive topspin and heavy balls, a smaller player is forced to run significantly more miles to defend the court, leading to faster physical breakdown.Alcaraz simply has less chance to dominate at 6 feet over time than taller players. Even two inches costs him in long term grand slams. Rod Laver had 11 grand slams. Name a player under six feet in the last 30 years that has over 2 grand slams. So Alcaraz is at a height disadvantage in later years.

What people don’t realize is these guys get no time off.
    Weeks.
    The schedule ravages their bodies.
Carlos hasn’t had a vacation since he was 15.
He’s only 22 years old so if he misses a couple months better that then ending up like Dominic Tiem and needing surgery and never recovering.
I think this was a blessing in disguise.
Everybody’s bragging about how many masters Sinner is winning.
Carlos is the defending champion of the last three out of four Grand slams he is the best player in the world in my opinion.

But it definitely had an emotional breakdown and I question the validity of this injury it seems to be very convenient with him wanting to get off the court and just go home.

I hope he gets the rest he needs it’ll end up being almost 2 months and don’t be surprised if he pulls out of Wimbledon too.

Don’t be surprised if Juan Carlos turns back up as well.
Carlos is a very sensitive player He’s also very spoiled and a mama’s boy.

Something tells me this was an arrangement between him and his team.
Either I quit tennis all together or you give me time off.

That’s my intuition I’m telling you he just bought an 8 million dollar boat if you notice he’s stayed very low.

I think he needed a break everybody always wants something from him but the problem is, he’s the cash cow for everyone so they have to prop him up.

Maybe he’ll come back hungrier than before, he had no real momentum because he had just come off of holiday break and played three or four tournaments tops.

He’ll be fine and I encourage him to take as much time as he needs.

That pain in wrist is tolerable, but if you keep on playing specially at high level … the impact of ball would surely increase the pain and make it really uncomfortable to swing and hit the ball. It’s better to rest it for a while to do the healing process in the wrist ligament and bone, rather that force it without complete healing, it is riskier and might cause a total damage that might end his career early. Example of this is Del Potro

I’m shocked he didn’t give it a go. The majors usually let him get treatment for cramping, so all he had to do was ask again. ❤
