The stars of ‘Boy Meets World’ — Rider Strong, Danielle Fishel and Will Friedle — sit down with ET’s Emily Curl to look back on the iconic series, after debuting their tell-all documentary, ‘Doc Meets World,’ at the 2026 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. The trio shares behind-the-scenes memories and what it was like growing up in the spotlight, getting a kick out of watching back old clips from ET’s many visits to the sitcom set. The group also reflects on their more recent estrangement from series lead Ben Savage, calling the state of their relationship with him ‘sad’ after, they claim, he ghosted them. Fans can hear more from Rider, Danielle and Will on their podcast, ‘Pod Meets World.’

I use to think Topanga and Cory were really together as well to be surprise I didn’t feel some type of way when I had a crush on Topanga growing up watching Boy Meets World

It’s a shame about Ben. I guess it’s typical behavior in those circles. He decides to get into politics and suddenly thinks he’s better than everyone else, smh. How he just ghosted them is disgusting and pathetic behavior. It’s good to see that they’re all happy and healthy.
Yeah, I really don’t understand… Ben Savage was there mugging it up on “Girl Meets World”, embracing the “Boy Meets World” nostalgia. So it’s not like left the original show and never wanted to look back. Plus I think it’s crappy to stop talking to friends with zero explanation. HOWEVER, we are only getting one side of the story.
Ben refused to be part of their podcast and went so far as to block their phone numbers. He’s clearly dealing with something, real or perceived. Could be identity issues post show. Hope they can all reconcile eventually.
A friend in high school went to a house party with Ben Savage. She said he was acting like an ass, leaning in for kisses and when girls would reject him, he’d throw a tantrum.
Topanga’s hair was its own character on the show.
