Bob Barker and his longtime companion of 40 years, Nancy Burnet, almost never met.
The former Price Is Right host, who died on Saturday at age 99, was emceeing an animal adoption day in Downey, California with actor Earl Holliman in March 1983. Burnet, an animal rights activist involved with animal legislation, had heard about Barker’s event and hoped he would help raise awareness around a proposal she had to stop pet stores from selling chicks and ducklings around Easter time.

But there’s women out there whose public persona isn’t the same as their private persona as well as the fact that women are known to be abusive just as much as men. The narrator of this video claims that Barker tried numerous times to get engaged and she said no.

Exactly. I think she may have been a very dominant woman and could have been abusive. Women certainly have been known to be as abusive in a relationship as a man can.
