“I pay you to get on first base, not go out on second” 💀💀🫠
Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane (Brad Pitt) challenges the system and defies conventional wisdom when his is forced to rebuild his small-market team on a limited budget. Despite opposition from the old guard, the media, fans and their own field manager (Philip Seymour Hoffman), Beane – with the help of a young, number-crunching, Yale-educated economist (Jonah Hill) – develops a roster of misfits…and along the way, forever changes the way the game is played.

WHY WHY didnt he fire that frekin coach. ??
if your employee feels its not right to do what all others are doing, or against your orders ,
FIRE HIM………….the only defect is that you keep the employee and wait for him to change his mind.
Because this movie was stupid and one-sided. The A’s did have some high-profile players, but they weren’t talked about in this movie. Art Howe had a lot to do with that team’s success, but the movie made it seem as though it was all in spite of him. Pure Hollywood garbage.
ladies and gentleman, may i introduce the smallest bowl of cereal known to mankind!
Don’t forget about The most underrated Big 3 starting rotation ever: Barry Zito, Tim Hudson, and Mark Mulder
“When swinging low and away you’re batting .158.” The proper response is, “Those pitches didn’t start low and away, you dumbass.” Like it’s a computer simulation when they get on the field.
4:30 “Let the game come to you, there’s no clock on this thing.” Oh how times have changed haha
Crazy right
“Hey, good luck with that!”… whatta great leader! 😆
I didn’t know Jermaine Dye ended up at Oakland? I do know the Chicago White Sox should’ve cut years before they actually did! He played Center Field and unless the ball was hit right to him, it was on the ground?😮😊
