Starting by the sea is a great choice. You can join the crowds at the Main Beach, get more privacy at Victoria or Aliso Beach, or visit the park at Treasure Island Beach. There are also plenty of options if you want to get out in nature without dipping your toes in the water. Go up to the Top of the World, go through different biomes at Crystal Cove State Park, or hike a trail at the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park.

Art is an essential part of Laguna Beach. Check out the art museum, go on the Art Walk, or see the murals along Laguna Canyon Road. You can also go downtown to browse a gallery or buy a local treasure. The history of Laguna Beach is rich and varied. Seeing its art gives you a glimpse into how it developed, but you can learn more at the Murphy Smith Bungalow.

The nearby coast also gives Laguna plenty of delicious dining options. Get an acai bowl from Banzai Bowl or try the tapas at K’ya Bistro. You can also enjoy a drink at the Laguna Beer Company or Rooftop Lounge. If you come at the right time, you may even get a chance to enjoy one of the many traditional events at Laguna Beach. You can come for the Art Walk to see local artists, purchase from a vendor at the Sawdust Festival, or watch living art during the Pageant of the Masters.

#1 place you have to visit in Laguna Beach is Spa Del Rio. Best spa and massage in the most beautiful place in the 🌎 And it’s boutique, so cute, and run by a family ❤️

Walking south from Crescent Bay to the rocks until you reach the man made pool and you will be glad you did. Do this when the tide is coming up and the waves are vigorously breaking… must bring camera to capture the experience. My favorite place for photo shoot location…. A+++

*Rooftop* was aways a great place for a reasonably priced lunch with a great view of the coastline. They have recently fancified the menu and upped the prices so we haven’t been there since the change. Situated on the roof (hence the name) of a quirky old timey hotel it was always a favorite of locals. Tables for sunset are at a premium ( and it’s very crowded–reservations a MUST) but if you’re a visitor it’s worth the price for the great view at sunset. The new menu looks good but haven’t personally tried it.

Eiler Larsen was a well known character in Laguna in the 50s. He would stand at PCH and Laguna Canyon Rd. and wave at all the car passing by. Their is a statue of him near the main beach today, Or there was when I was living there. Not sure if it is still there
