How is it self defense if you bring a knife to a fist fight your intentions are clearly that you want to cause the other opponent serious harm or ultimately death holly stabbed stacey twice self defense constitutes as only once not multiple times.

@tinaharris4082 You obviously didn’t pay attention well enough. Holly was already at the party, Stacey came after and Immediately said “What is she doing here!” Which means she initiated the fight. Everyone said that Stacy was beating Hollys ass even kicking her in the head a few times, at that point lethal force was necessary. Her friend said she was known to carry a knife so it is what its not premeditated and the fight was spontaneous.

Agreed but you only stab an unarmed assailant once for it to be considered self defense and holly already turned up with a knife and asked for it back once out of the car in the eyes of the law she brought the knife for obvious ill intent otherwise she wouldnt have brought it with her in the first place so she knew before hand there was going to be a confrontation and thats considered pre meditated manslaughter.

@tinaharris4082Incorrect, The friends she showed up with wanted to leave and she decided to stay, so she asked for her knife back, which was in her friends purse as they were heading out. They clearly said Stacey was on top of holly punching her when Holly stabbed her, I’m not gonna go back and forth with someone who can’t pay attention πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Stabbing however many time you need to to get someone off of you cannot be dictated by someone who wasn’t being attacked.

Nah def not self defense. First off you don’t bring a knife to a fist fight and when it comes to lethal self defense you can’t respond differently than what is coming at you. If they both had knives it’d be different but you can’t react to fists with a knife or a gun. It may be different in Florida and some other red states though but that certainly doesn’t make it ok

As for everyone saying it’s self defense, well maybe but the law often sees things differently. People have the right to defend themselves. But not to kill.
