“why, God”. What does God have to do with it? Protect us all from evil? Im sorry, were on earth, not Heaven. God gave us free will and he respects that. He wont force his will on anyone. Its all in the book. Hes there to pick up the pieces, but its not his place to keep us from pain. People forget, there is a devil. Cause and effect, chain of events. Reality is, evil is out there. Some times we bump in to it and its not our fault.

I remember the night this happened. I was talking to a friend and she said “stay inside. There’s someone riding around here shooting people.” I went home and stayed there. I worked at the Kalamazoo Psychiatric Hospital at the time and this guy was up there acting a damn fool in court playing crazy, trying to get them to deem him NGRI (not guilty by reason of insanity). He wanted a hospital committal instead of prison. It didn’t work.
