Beauty And The Beast – Full Mini-Series
The story starts with Bella Dubois, daughter of a merchant/Sea captain. She decides to be a maidservant at Leon’s castle because her father couldn’t afford the debt at the moment. When Leon first meets Bella he has passionate feelings for her because of her bravery and she seems to understand his anguished memories.Their love is developing beautifully but encounters opposition in the form of his jealous cousin. Prince Leon finally convinces Bella that she is not a bet. He cancels her father’s debt, frees her and they marry.

I have truly enjoyed watching this movie! As it is similar to the beauty and the beast from Disney, it is, also, different. The acting is great, especially from the 2 main characters. I thought the score was spot on!

I love this movie and have watched it several times. The most fascinating thing to me is Bella’s expressions that change with the emotional atmosphere. Unlike American movies, this one offers a soft, enriching experience and isn’t overpronounced.

I love this miniseries. I also loved Beauty and the Beast with Emma Watson and Dan Stevens. I think all international versions of Beauty and the Beast movies are wonderful. The costumes are stellar and are perfect for the timeframe in this movie! Especially the mask, reminds me of the Phantom of the Opera movie, with Gerard Butler. ❤

I’m sorry but the prince’s hair was a mess
I truly love this movie, I am never tired of watching it. What captured my attention, is when the Prince had the opportunity to have Bella, when he looked at her, so vulnerable, his love for her, made him realized that he just couldn’t take advantage of her. My hat goes off the the producer, the director and most of all, the actors. Bravo!!!
Same here, and that is one of the most touching scenes in this series, along with the one in the greenhouse where he tells her, “you fill my soul”…I just about melted! 💕
I hate when some people keep saying how toxic his relationship with Bella is, I shake my head and roll my eyes. The poor guy was betrayed by his wife, whom he dearly loved, and on top of it his witch cousin made him think he killed her. Wouldn’t anyone turn into a bitter person? Yeah it is not right that he grabbed both Bella and Juliet by the hair, or even worse that he was cruel to his subjects, but considering what he carried in his conscience and in his heart I can give him a break. This imho is and will always be the best version of “Beauty and the beast”. Wonderful work plus the chemistry between Blanca and Alessandro was amazing! I wish they made a follow up! ❤

My favorite parts are 45:33, 1:24:16, 1:35:00, 1:41:18, 1:54:58, 2:17:06 & 2:40:51 with the variations of the beautiful singing of the main song!

The best version I have ever seen.
It’s a good movie but got tired of the repeated ‘getting mad – then sulking/drinking – then kissing/making up’ scenes over and over and over. It made the movie too long.
I don’t understand what the problem is. Here she is, barely 20 years old, bright, healthy, smart, and morally intact. There he is, 50 something. An addict, morally lost, without a vision, and with his dark past. What do they do? They make them a couple. Just like Jane Eyre. As if this is something really romantic. Something to looking forward to and look up to. In 10 years, she will be barely 30 and he will be 60!
