It’s the US Open. Taylor Townsend is American. That’s how it goes. Krejcikova played a great match for sure. Unfortunately Czech doesn’t host a major.

It’s heartbreaking for Townsend. I think truly one call went against her. It’s a shame that she lost a match that was truly hers.
She had 8 opportunities to close it out, but she couldn’t do it. It wasn’t a call that went against her, it was a calm, collected and highly skilled 2 time Grandslam champion.
“Top 10”? Oh sweetheart. That won’t be happening at all. But your confidence is admirable.
