I listened, and I listened again just now. I still think the gist of what he’s saying is that electric guitar music is (or has become), in his estimation, solely about posing and attitude and image. Then his bandmate refers to it as bullshit. They seem pretty generally dismissive to me. I, personally, just happen to think the whole hipster “movement” is significantly more dishonest/pretentious than the most pointless 15-minute guitar solo you’ve ever heard. I am trying to like these guys, but…
