Yes, Sabalenka and her team have been focused on improving her court and shot skills, like the addition of a great drop shot, over the past couple of years.

Agree. It nearly changed the trajectory of this whole match. Why did the ump call it so late? Thats the latest let call ive ever heard. Almost like he tried to hand victory to Iga.

Sabalenka was so strong to come back from that disappointment, where she should have been 5-1 in 1st set. She found herself 5-4 down then but thankfully got to the tie-break, where she excelled. And that 3rd set was totally amazing.

The Shrieking Banshee takes out the player with a cheating question mark hanging over her. The latter running out of energy. Hmmmmm.
And as for the scheduling debate: there are empty seats.
The WTA are struggling to find a consistent audience.
But, Chris Evert’s 7 title record is looking secure.
    Every cloud.

It’s pretty clear who the favorite is – Sabalenka. She’s the World No.1, having a great season, and the way she played against Swiatek was incredible. If she can keep up that level, she’ll be very hard to beat.

The woman with the dark curly hair at least gave her some credit, but the guy on the right… yeah, he seemed kind of anti-Sabalenka, to be honest. Always expecting her opponents to win and downplaying her performances. It’s like she didn’t just beat a 4-time Roland Garros champion, but some random player. Acting like Gauff is the bigger obstacle feels off – it really comes down to how Sabalenka performs.
