Dumb. Mboko looked pretty mental losing in the 1st rd of 4 straight tournaments. Let’s see Mboko beat Svitolina, Rybakina, Swiatek, and Sabalenka in the same tournament; or Rybakina and Swiatek in back to back events.
I really hate people mentioning her let down after the Canadian open. It’s not like she lost because she didn’t play well or because her technique impeded on her play, she had a fall on her wrist and now that’s she’s healthy again she’s right back to her winning ways!
Can’t put it all on the wrist. If the wrist was such an issue, she should’ve stayed off the court until it was properly healed. She lost in the 1st rd of 4 straight tournaments from Aug.-Oct, winning just two matches in 5 tournaments. Hate it all you want, but that’s reality.

Andreeva, easily. Mboko was an erratice match after Canada. And they need to slow their roll on Jovic. Lotta unproven hype on that one as of late.

Commentators forget that it’s not easy to win in front of your home crowd. Mboko winning in Canada was not easy. She had to beat 4 former GS champions. I hope she has a great year in 2026!
