Former “American Idol” contestant Caleb Flynn appeared in court Monday for a hearing ahead of his upcoming murder trial over the alleged killing of his wife, Ashley Flynn. The defense argued that allowing members of Ashley’s family to remain in court could influence their testimony, while prosecutors said Marsy’s Law gives the victim’s parents, sister and brother-in-law protections to attend the proceedings. The judge took the issue under advisement and is expected to rule before Flynn’s jury trial begins September 17.

Watching this now is funny cause like I don’t think anyone needs to get their testimony straight here. This guy did a pretty good job of not covering his ass whatsoever. Basically like couldn’t be any more clear that he’s guilty if they had it on film.
I have watched all hearings and will say I have never seen a trial in which a defense team rarely (if ever) converses with the suspected murderer? It is almost like there is very little defense to include witnesses??? The state is coming out point-on and they are not letting up!
Amazing how much Caleb has aged from this hearing 8 days later in trial!
