guardian angels sang this strain
Rule Britannia, Britannia, rule the waves
Britons never, never, shall be slaves
“The aristocracy are mostly very unattractive people in really expensive clothes.”
-Sir S. M. Dick 1969
Unfortunately, this will make a great historical artifact in about 20 years the way things are going in Europe.
Almost no women.
I am Canadian, so I understand British culture. After all we are a colonial clone of sorts and we grew up singing, God save the Queen and spent many hours watching British TV programs, like, Coronation Street. But I think the thing I most appreciate about Britain is its extraordinary humor. Also, I would query: how the fuck does that tiny little island create so much amazing music in the mid 20th century and up till now? The list of bands goes on forever. Well done old Chaps!
I am neither British nor English, but I thoroughly enjoyed this well-made video. It helped me better understand a country that I am quite fond of. Brilliant work, guys.
Quintessentially…
Oblivious to all but British aaaanthing.
And in total denial that the rest of the world thinks their own thoughts without permission. Oh wait. I said that already. Oblivious.
