Hezbollah has reportedly spent three months getting ready for a new war with Israel, with tens of millions of dollars from Iran.
Reuters reported on Oct 26, 2026, citing Lebanese security sources, that the group used the lull in fighting since June to rearm. The focus has been buying explosives and building drones that can be flown into Israeli positions. Sources said Iran sent tens of millions of dollars to boost Hezbollah’s military capabilities. That comes on top of about $200 million from Tehran for displaced families, which Reuters reported earlier this month. Sources also said Hezbollah is rebuilding command and control that broke down in key battles at Bint Jbeil and the Ali al-Taher ridge, but its stockpiles and forces are not yet fully rebuilt.
Hezbollah’s media office said resisting Israel’s occupation of Lebanese land is a “legitimate right” and rejected the claim that its command and control broke down. Israel’s military declined to comment. A U.S. State Department spokesman said Washington will keep “strangling” Hezbollah’s finances, and a U.S. Treasury spokesperson said Iran is running out of money and ways to move money. These are reported claims from unnamed sources and have not been independently confirmed.
