What even is inflammation? That is a question you might be asking yourself as you read about anti-inflammatory supplements or hear about foods that can worsen inflammation. Today, Raj and Noah are joined by Dr. Tamiko Katsumoto, Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Immunology and Rheumatology at Stanford University, to break down what exactly inflammation is, what it means for our bodies, and how we can improve our relationship with it.

Wow so helpful❤
Go Tamiko!! She’s a powerhouse!
Am I doing it wrong? I’m an 89 yo male in Texas and I can tell I’m wasting time watching people who have no idea what fibromyalgia is. It’s not a choice. It’s a disease that virtually no one is working on. In the meantime millions of Americans are suffering from this disease, fibromyalgia that is pure immflamation.
Eating healthy helps fibromyalgia. Exercising when you can helps too. It’s harder for those of us who have auto immune diseases. But eating healthy is even more important. The Mediterranean diet is a nice guide that my doctor suggested. Good luck.
@YvonneWilding-n4j that’s a put off. Like if we eat the right stuff we wouldn’t have all this pain. Uh no. Fibromyalgia doesn’t work that way. It’s a disease, like cancer is a disease. You’re like saying, gee if you just eat the right foods you won’t get cancer. This is part of our problem. Too many, including doctors don’t recognize fibromyalgia is more than pain to be treated with opioids that can themselves kill us. Until fibromyalgia is taken seriously we’re the ones who will suffer. Thanks for your input but you’re wrong.
This was great, solid information. Great show in general, I wish I could go see this doctor!
Sooo informative with understandable explanations!! As a patient with Ulcerative Colitis, whose Colon ulcerated over 50 years ago; a patient with Arthritis and Shogren’s Syndrome; OAB; HBP and CAD; and Chronic Kidney Disease in Remission; I listened with great interest!! Thank you very much to the Hosts and to you, Doctor, for sharing this valuable information!!🥰
