Ive stayed at a lot of these hotels. Carlton in Cannes, Plaza in NYC, Mandarin Oriental, etc… It’s never worth staying there unless someone else is paying for it. It’s just a room with a TV or two at the end of the day. There are a lot of hotels that offer similar service for 600-700 a night
In my opinion the best hotels worth dropping a lot of money on are ones with a private beach. I don’t know why anyone would pay 7k a night to stay in a city
