One of the most dazzling images from NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope is this image of a distant extreme star system surrounded by surreal concentric geometric rings. The binary star is called WR140.

5:28 I’m pretty sure you derive the orbital parameters of the stars just by looking at the ripple pattern and run the calculations — velocity, inclination, apsides, etc.
WOOF! I just can’t believe we got it launched finally and man-o-man it is showing us such great things already.. Makes me giggle with excitement to think of all the great new things we can discover out there with this wonderful new piece of tech.. (I must say a gigging 70 year old grandpa really has my grandchildren all flummoxed..) Every one smile well old folks giggle..
