Massachusetts mom Lindsay Clancy killed her three young children inside the family’s home in January 2023 before attempting to take her own life. Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, were found with exercise bands around their necks. Prosecutors contend Clancy intentionally strangled the children, while her defense argues she was suffering from severe postpartum depression and psychosis that left her unable to understand her actions. Jurors are expected to hear testimony from medical experts, investigators, and family members as they determine whether Clancy is criminally responsible for her children’s deaths.

Yes – it’s evidence
she was on a cocktail of drugs. Prescribed antipsychotic medication from medical professionals, who she sought out again and again for help. This is absolute evidence that Linsey was suffering. She WAS psychotic! We don’t know what she was thinking, but her only solution was to do this.
Not even. Day 1 basically proved she was not overmedicated, she denied all the help that was offered at the hospital, lied to Patrick about the help that was offered and the care she received, and asked to be discharged for a birthday party. She was the one who kept asking different doctors for new/changes in medications before even giving them time to work. She wanted instant results, and when she didn’t get that from one doctor she went to another. She wanted someone to fix her, and she wanted it overnight. She didnt like any of the medications from the start, and didn’t give any of them a chance to kick in so her medication cycle was: she started, stopped, complained, changed, and repeat.
She knew what she was doing . She killed her children and I do not feel any sympathy for her. She sent her husband away so he wouldn’t stop her. If she knew she was having horrible thoughts , she should have removed herself from their care. Nobody failed her. She committed premeditated murder on her 3 children. I believe she did it as a cry for attention and was even willing to risk killing herself to get it .
Why is everything a sidebar with this judge?
Im just not understanding that if she’s a nurse and she was given Seroquel and told the dr she was having intrusive thoughts and she thought it was due to the medication why did she continue taking and upping the Seroquel.
Even in her notes she writes that it was causing her bad thoughts – which she didn’t have at all before starting the meds. If she wasn’t a nurse I’d understand why she just blindly listen to the dr and continued on the meds. But as a nurse she would know that Seroquel can cause suicidal thoughts at the beginning of the treatment. Going into this she only had generalised anxiety so the meds weren’t 100% necessary for her to function so why didn’t she try getting off of them to feel better (or at least her state before taking all this stuff)
Her attorney’s demeanour during and after the children’s clothing exhibits were shown. Oh my gosh he looked stunned and deep in thought. There was a moment when I’m sure I saw tears in his eyes. All the while he was holding her hand because she was sobbing. I wouldn’t wish his job on anyone
