This was beautiful. Really liked this couple too. They did an amazing job with the architecture and design. And the eclecticism is so obvious which I loooooove.
I don’t know when this video was filmed but this house along with the others were burned down and the California Coastal Commission is making sure there will be no holmes being built on the beach

@jaycarver4886 No, you are wrong on both accounts. Casita Ola is not a manufactured home. It is a custom-designed, ground-up new construction single-family residence. The home was built on-site from the ground up starting in 2018 and survived construction delays caused by the Woolsey Fire before its completion in 2019. The property features complex architectural and site-built structural elements that differ entirely from prefabricated or manufactured houses. The owners of Casita Ola own the land beneath their house. As detailed in their Dwell magazine feature, the owners purchased a plot of land in a unique, gated Point Dume neighborhood. This specific community was formerly a mobile home retirement park where the individual land lots were slowly bought out by private buyers. Rather than paying a land lease—which is common in traditional active mobile home parks—the owners purchased the property lot itself. They then cleared the outdated structure and completed a full, ground-up architectural build on their own deeded cliffside land.
But now burned down? 2026 does this property exist?

This home actually wasn’t destroyed, despite another comment claiming it was. The homeowners confirmed on their social media page that Casita Ola survived the 2026 wildfires.
