Closing arguments in the case against Blaise Taylor began on Wednesday. He is accused of secretly poisoning his pregnant girlfriend, Jade Benning, at her apartment in February 2023, causing the deaths of both Benning and her five-month-old unborn child. Prosecutors allege Taylor intentionally put cocaine in Jade’s drink to kill her baby, claiming the drug is known to cause spontaneous abortions. The defense argues the deaths were a tragic incident, not murder, and urged jurors to find Taylor not guilty.

90% of pregnant women’s tastebuds change due to surging hormones, with metallic taste in mouth being most common. She prolly thought it was same ol same ol…I have had periods of metallic taste in my mouth for non pregnancy reasons & everything is kinda bitter.
She did say on that phone call that she knew it tasted funny. But not every adult acts like a toddler and immediatly spits things out.
When I was pregnant I thought everything tasted off. I craved bleach. Yes I wanted to drink bleach, but of course I did not act on it. It was a serious craving, I cleaned everything with bleach! I even poured bleach in the kitchen sink and let it sit, so I could smell it. I would leave clean mop buckets full of bleach sitting around the house. It was the weirdest craving! But as soon as I gave birth, the craving went away.
The prosecutor’s voice is so whiny and annoying. She really needs to work on it. Typically, closing arguments are interesting and you WANT to hear everything summed up. Not with her. I can’t wait until she stops talking.
Very argumentative. If the witnesses didn’t agree when she asked a question she’d ask it ten times but in different ways thinking the answer would change to what she wanted to hear but it wouldn’t . The judge had to pull her up several times .
I couldn’t even listen to her first closing argument it was so hard to listen to due to the way she was talking.
First off, I’d like to know how Jade got to her bedroom before she totally passed out. Why Jade ever kept letting Blaise back in to her life is beyond me. Granted she probably didn’t know his past history with those two other women. Why didn’t she question him as to why he wanted her pregnancy to be kept under wraps, a secret. Hmmmm!!!! So sad how he fed her full of lies about loving her. Blaise is a POS. I hope he is happy with what he did and the fact he ruined many people’s lives. Rot in prison Blaise!!!!!!!!!!!!

Prosecutor speaks so slowly and haltingly. I have to play it back at one and a half to two times a speed just to tolerate her.
The States attorney is so whinny. They want to paint her as if she was a saint, that the detectives did a great job and that they didn’t change medical records. They take no accountability for the police, detectives and medical staff doing sub standard work. It’s wild that they just sweep over the incompetence and witnesses actually their key witness that got caught in her lies under oath.
