Documentary filmmaker Nina Davenport talks about her new first-person film, “First Comes Love” in this SundanceNOW exclusive interview. Davenport talks about the challenges and virtues of putting herself in front of the camera, what it was like to document her decision to have a child on her own, and why her film is striking a cord in an era in which the modern family is being redefined. “First Comes Love” opens at the IFC Center on July 24 before rolling out nationwide, and airs on HBO starting July 29.
