yes a big win
I dont think shes a ‘light hitter’ not a really big ball but good enough when she places it well and keeps her depth. They give analysis in the coverage where shots are scored out of 100, based on depth, speed, spin and her forehand was 83 with the draw average being low 70s. And yes this was a big win after several years of physical and emotional challenges. She just needs to keep that intensity and positivity when Sabalenka smokes her service a few times, cos she will. I’ve seen her go into her shell when things arent going well on court and she can’t afford to do that. Sabalenka can be beat, Vondrousova beat her in Berlin and Emma just beat her so. ….🤞
Maybe it has to do with the new boyfriend tennis player.
100%
She only winning because of Carlos oh look her back seems okay i thought ir was hurting what a liar
Take some deep breaths Sam, go and touch some grass
@welium123 Lol
Unhinged🙄
I think Jim was a little dismissive to Emma with his comments, I wouldn’t say she’s a ‘light hitter’, she’s somewhere in the middle.. she can generate pace when she goes after it but she’s obviously not an all-out power player either. I think Emma’s main issues are dropping the ball short due to how compact her motion is and shot selection – she needs to go after the right balls and commit to putting them away.
I mean he’s right, so far this season when she plays the elite players she loses. The only way she wins is if Sabalenka goes into meltdown mode, spraying errors like she did vs Gauff in those two Gs finals.
@CA_I Her results and her weight of shots are two completely different things.. he was talking about the latter
@crazycatpetera1404 ye what a strange non sequitar that was lol
She beat Vondrousova a few years ago at Wimbledon. She did play well, but Vondrousova was very disappointing, especially her serve.
I think the crowd was unfair but marketa has not been good after injury
