As a registered Independent, I’d caution Dems about crowing too loudly this far from midterms. GOP controlled states are gerrymandering their voting districts as hard and fast as they can to insure their hold on power. I also remember the “experts” predicting no way in hell Trump would win either his first or second term. Yet there he is in the Oval Office shitting upon the “little people” with impunity. Besides, this is the Gilded Age 2.0 wherein corporations are people too and they and their owners decide elections now – not the unwashed masses with their placebic votes.
