Why did Richard have to sedate Fran before shooting her?
Dennis probably sedated her so that there wouldn’t be any resistance, knowing she was a cop, was blackmailing him, and probably carried a gun.

How does she pick just the right dressing room to get the file? She’s worried about a murderer yet she must have left her car unlocked? How would he get in without sounding an alarm? yes, she could have blown her horn! 💥 also , Fran being a cop, stood staring out over the lake… not watching her back for someone coming up on her??? Or hearing them!
Yes, I thought that too. When watching these simple mysteries, I just need to chill. I read & watch more in-depth story lines. I want to get to the end & be surprised. Best movies, is when I’ve watched several times & still have to wait till the end to see who has done it.

It was a great twist for the surgeon to be the killer. As soon as he said something about the weird call from a patient I immediately jumped to “oh, he was framed”, but he actually framed himself – truly genius move!
