A lot of the world’s most expensive foods get smuggled, but not always for the same reasons. And some smugglers even say they have legitimate reasons for illegally cashing in. We take a look at six of world’s most expensive foods we’ve covered and why they are smuggled. For all of them, the high prices come with high demand. This creates a big incentive for smugglers, who are looking for ways to cut corners and cash in. So why are smugglers targeting these foods? And how are governments and food producers fighting back?

I find it hilarious how people world-wide will do anything to report to friends they had a “Fine dining experience”.

No one human has the authority to tell another they can’t grow a plant.
That is the most absurd concept.
    Absolutely disgusting.
You can keep your shitty “golden kiwi”.
Eat the fruit and vegetables that are grown in your area.

I made my own maple syrup in Ontario back in the day. I’d have enough to last me a year. I never sold any of it. I gave some of it away. Those were the days. In 2002, the province told me I was breaking the law because I was “packing” the syrup and “transporting” it from my forest to my house across a public road. We’re talking about 10 gallons.
I also began receiving anonymous notes telling me to stop tapping my trees or “they might burn down next summer”.
    Ontario……..and Canada………..have turned into a socialist dystopia.

I sold my home and moved to the USA.
