What a time to be alive, what a tournament. 12 years passed and I still can’t describe the feelings I went through during this World Cup. As a Korean who supports both Korea and Germany, it was bittersweet to watch Korea’s failure and Germany’s triumph. This World Cup should be remembered as one of the best World Cups ever played not only because Germany, the team I rooted for won the tournament but also because it had so much to talk about. I was in high school when this World Cup was played and 12 years later, in my late 20s, another World Cup kicked off today. Best of luck to both Germany and Korea.
