A 12-year-old boy died after collapsing outdoors during gym class at his California school, according to his family.
Yahshua Robinson collapsed and became unresponsive during his physical education class at Canyon Lake Middle School on Tuesday, according to the CW affiliate KTLA and a GoFundMe page set up on behalf of his family.

The teacher who made him run as a form of “punishment” and denied him help when he asked for water and complained of feeling ill, is guilty of murder/manslaughter- (I’m not a lawyer)- with an intent to do harm (punish). Who is this teacher? What’s the name? How can you be certified/employed as a Physical Ed. Teacher and not know the dangers of heat stroke or other complications when doing physical activity in extreme heat, especially for a child?
I just received a text from a school mom concerned About my son and I didn’t even know what was happening. Apparently kids ran up to the coach and teacher to tell them that my son was struggling to breathe. No one called me from the school! He is 7 years old.

My son attends a school just 3 miles away from Canyon Lake Middle. This is a tragedy that should not have happened. I’m not going to stop fighting for the weather guidelines to change. How dare the schools take kids out over 90F weather. My son’s school had a firedrill on 8/28 in the early morning but couldnt that have been postponed with heat wave for that week being scorching hot!!! I hope an attorney or news anchor is reading this because something needs to get done before another child has to die for their to be any changes of common sense and not let our kids out for PE. This angers me so much that a young boy had to die at school. I dont want to even imagine what the family is going through. All Menifee, Perris, Lakeside come on wake up and keep our kids indoors and go by heat index not what the temperature is at.
I would really see the weather guidelines to change NOW!
