Great movie, thanks. I liked that Frank, for bring such a mean old man, truly like his animals, not just to use them to win. As for Bright Eyes, I was concerned too, as was another commentor, when the livery burned down, but with the shot of her by the tree at the end, I assume she was not in the barn.
This was before animals were protected from injury or death.

Sadly the reason the character of Bob was not present in the final scene is because Charles Emmett Mack had just been killed in a car crash before he could finish filming his scenes.
