I don’t think its about proving anything to anyone.. There are athletes that actually love the sport they play. Some athletes want to come back for that same reason. It’s got nothing to do with younger players or the fans, they have it in their blood, and want that excitement/competition one more time. It’s a whole different mentality then when she was playing before. Serena can do whatever she wants to do, I’m here for it and will certainly be supporting her as long as she plays. If physically she couldn’t do it she wouldn’t. If she plays 1 match and wants to be done so be it. Her journey is about her, not the nay sayer, not even the ones that support her, not her family, not her husband, it’s her journey. Allow her to enjoy her journey anyway she chooses. She isn’t hurting anyone by coming back to play her sport for how ever long or short, doubles or singles, whatever she chooses to do. Enjoy your life Serena and be you❣️🙏🏾✌🏾Play on my sista!! It’s a bit unrealistic for her to come back…her last baby is less than 3 years old – even with all the chances possible – she would have started training right after her body is « healed » from pregnancy…
