Donald Duck has a model train and town laid out in his yard. He decides to move a live tree that doesn’t match the model scale, not realizing it is home to chipmunks Chip and Dale. They in turn move into one of the miniature houses. Donald files his model airplane into Chip ‘n Dale’s tree. Dale climbs in and proceeds to cause trouble.Donald Duck is at the park flying a tether airplane, unaware he is being watched by Chip ‘n’ Dale. Chip is uninterested, but Dale is mesmerized and dreams of flying the plane. When it gets stuck in their tree, Dale hops aboard and zooms around the tree, but the airplane breaks down and lands. Gas station owner Donald thinks he’s just missed the winning number for a new Zoom V8 car but his nephews hear a correction, and find he really does have the winner. They plan to pick it up and surprise him, but the car they take runs out of gas, and they’re broke. They cut out the picture of a Zoom V8 from a billboard, dress one of the boys in drag, and trick Donald into filling their tank. After Donald tricks the chipmunks to shovel snow, they get things a-poppin’ in the duck’s house.As Donald Duck is clearing snow from his house’s walkway, he notices that chipmunks Chip ‘n’ Dale are busy clearing the snow off their branch. He yanks the branch down to the ground, fooling the chipmunks into clearing his path as well into a hydrant, and then walks into his house, laughing as the chipmunks realize the trick. This, of course, means war… Donald sets up for a day at the beach right over the same spot that a bee has settled in for a relaxing day. Donald Duck has to fend off a group of mountain-lions who are intent on taking his catch of fish.Louie the Mountain Lion is fishing while sitting in a tree, but hasn’t had any success so far. His son comes out of their nearby den and playfully tricks his father into thinking he has caught a fish by pouncing onto the bait. When Louie reels his son in and realizes that this was a joke, he gives his son a mild pummeling and returns to his fishing spot. Donald heads out for a nice relaxing camping trip, until he runs into trouble with Chip and Dale.Chip ‘n’ Dale wake up one morning and go out to collect nuts but then come upon Donald Duck (who is out having a nice relaxing vacation)’s footprints. It’s the 1890’s, and Donald is riding his penny-farthing bicycle to see Daisy when Chip ‘n Dale make fun of him. It quickly escalates into a full-fledged war between Donald and the chipmunks. In the 1890s, Donald Duck is riding his penny-farthing bicycle, humming a love tune (the theme song “Crazy Over Daisy”) and on his way to Daisy Duck.
