When Baloo is late one too many times, Rebecca makes him fly a guided tour, going past certain checkpoints at designated times. However, Baloo hears of a stolen crown and concocts a scheme to get it back while Wildcat flies the tour. Baloo settles in for a nap while waiting for a client, unaware that the elephant is a thief who wants his latest acquisition taken to Cape Suzette. Kit is anxious to tackle his first baby-sitting job and promises Rebecca that her daughter Molly is safe with him. But Kit has to learn that the little girl turns out to be quite a handful. Baloo enters a race against a robot pilot to prove that a good old fashioned pilot is better than a machine. The catch: If he fails, all of the pilots in Cape Suzette will be out of work. At Louie’s Place, several Khan Industries pilots bicker with freelance aviators over which of them are the better fliers. Still smarting from Kit’s presumed betrayal, Baloo quits his job and flies away. Meanwhile, Don Karnage attacks Cape Suzette with his lightning gun, destroying all their defenses. Karnage and his pirates load the lightning gun onto the Iron Vulture and make their way towards Cape Suzette. In the city, Rebecca goes looking for new cargo pilots and planes. Kit feels that it is his own fault for the kidnapping, and as he helps Baloo find his way to Pirate Island, he confesses the story of his past. Until recently, he was an air pirate himself, but after about a year with Karnage and his men, he got sick of it and rebelled against them by taking the electrical stone and fleeing from them. Beekeeper Donald catches Humphrey the bear raiding his hives. He complains to Ranger Woodlore, who assembles his bears and lectures them. Donald puts up a barbed wire fence, which slows Humphrey down a bit, but doesn’t stop him.While beekeeper, Donald, is working one morning, he greets another beekeeper, who is actually Humphrey the Bear in disguise. After noticing something suspicious about this so-called “beekeeper”, he finds out it’s Humphrey raiding his hives in an attempt to steal some of the honey.
