New York just declared war on the prediction market industry, and this time the target is fighting back hard. Attorney General Letitia James filed suit against Polymarket, the prediction market platform, for the second time in two months that New York has taken legal action against a company in this space. The state is calling Polymarket an unlicensed gambling operation that allows New Yorkers as young as 18 years old to bet on sports, elections and major world events without holding a state gambling license of any kind.
