Still to early to make any end of season predictions. At least as far as UCL goes. Last year and especially 2 years ago Barca were also racking up the goal numbers. Scoring 5-7 a game in unsustainable. There will be a regression at some point. That said i think they will win La Liga again. There’s just no competition. Real Madrid is the closest but everyone else is MILES off. But Barca have been winning domestically for a number of years now. The trophy everyone wants is the UCL. And in UCL not always the best team wins. But the team that is hardest to beat once the knock out stage begins. Look at when Chelsea won the UCL (both times). Were they world beaters setting the world alight? No. But they were resilient and hard to play against. Didn’t make many mistakes. Grinded out results. Look at PSG last season. They were awful the 1st half of the season.

Barca are the most entertaining and have the most fluid and potent attack though. But UCL is a competition of moments and keeping mistakes at a minimum. Rodri’s arrival will help shield that backline a bit. But I still don’t trust that backline in the biggest moments. Not to mention they don’t have much depth back there. Health will also play a role. If Raphina, Yamal, Cubarsi or Joan Garcia go down at the wrong moment it could be their undoing. We will find out all the answers in April and May. Right now it’s still very early and a long way away from the business end of the season. But so far they’re looking amazing.
