The harrowing vision of the future in which Raised By Wolves takes place forces humanity to grasp with change and tragedy beyond comprehension. But how well does the series depict how human beings would actually react when confronted with staggering concepts like life on distant planets and android superweapons? On the final episode of Raised By Wolves: The Podcast’s first season, host Holly Frey joins psychologist and YouTube star Ali Mattu in considering whether or not humanity is truly up to the task of embracing their future — or if they’ll just crumble under the weight of their own fear and guilt. Raised By Wolves creator Aaron Guzikowski also rolls through to explain how he developed the psychological profiles of the show’s characters as they try to prove themselves worthy of being humanity’s last chance of survival. 39:25 I’m almost positive that what drives OG Campion from the Mithraics revolves around android rights/how the Mithraics see them as lifeless.
For the first few episodes I was thinking that’s what the whole war was actually about – like slavery and the US Civil War – but that doesn’t seem to be the case as the show went on.
I want season 2
So much in this show. It’s a total mood.
Thank you Holly! Great work by you and the team!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
😘
telepathy, time travel and psychokinesis … and hallmarks of crap science fiction that I will not watch – stuff this crappy show.
There’s only two of those in the show and I feel they are done in a non cliche way 🤷🏽
First of all how does a rock planet that is roughly 2 times the Earth become an emmental cheese planet with a core that either is incredibly small and as such a lander passing through does not have time to melt or it’s not hot enough to do so? Why are there those huge tunnels goind directly to the core in the first place and how does a vehicle that can re-enter atmosphere (something like bearing 1400+° on Earth) lose control going down probably due to heat (or electromagnetic interferences, but since we can see the hull turning orange and it can’t be the air around forming plasma due to lack of speed) still manages to get through the core of a freaking planet unfazed?
The baby flying mix of a snake and a leech makes even less sense if not for the possible purpose of creating a bio-weapon or is dictated by a really long term plan of speciation given the condition on the planet, in particular the involution that its inhabitants seems to go through would pose the question on whether normal DNA would be adequate for the environment, thus the hybrid.
As I suspected there are more humans on the planet than the ones we know of which could easily be explained by a previous expedition when things were not that dare on Earth, possibly by something that could be represented as “elites” that had the resources for a solid plan B on the planet. So my theory is really that someone, maybe the I-fancy-sex-with-cyborgs creator really sent them out on a mission to really grow that beast and kill the “elites” that have forsaken Earth after living great lifes at the expenses of all the others that were left to die with nihilism (atheists) and fanatics. There’s no “Sol” nor voices, the voice is the creator that made a dormant program that infilitrated everyone on the Ark thanks to the cyber world they were put to sleep in and is really making sure the conditions for the beast to thrive are met. Either this or they are all entering in contact with “alien” artifacts (from Kepler-22b) from the previous civilized society that are playing tricks on them for who knows why.
All in all I’ll probably check out season 2 to see if I’m right but man, that planet is stupid.
just listening to this podcast episode tells me that the powers that be want Humanity to devolve just like Grandmother
They don’t want us to solve the differences of our beliefs. In order to talked over the world it’s divide and Conquer. Oldest trick in the book.
