@scripps-sports Losing the job. Not getting to pick when you leave is always a sore spot for most. Suzy Kolber was always excellent and one of the sideline reporters worth listening to.
ESPN continues to crater.
The pay check.
It’s always the money. Forget the proper goodbye, corporations have no loyalty.
@warrior6204 Nobody has any loyalty. Employees are no different these days.
Neither. I’m very good at compartmentalizing. As she stated and claimed, she never took contract renewal as a foregone conclusion. Too bad she wasn’t more internet savvy earlier or she could have jumped into the Podcast space earlier. That’s just a general statement because I have no idea what her constraints may have been, time being number one. I love the move Ryan Clark has made with his own version and blend of First Take and NFL network. I only wonder if he will branch out and perhaps hire some former NBA guys to have a similar show once the NBA gets going…I think that would be a great move but then these days, NFL coverage seems to be more 300-365 day a year. It never seems to end.
It’s business. They want cheaper. Anyone can do cheap. However we will see how this works out. It is an event of our times. Experience is the best teacher. Often times in life you have to experience things to learn them.
If a game is on I want to watch, sure. Other than that? I haven’t watched one of their ridiculous screaming shows in 25 years.
So good to see you Suzy. You were amazing. Miss you so much. ESPN is getting worse every year. You and Samantha Ponder were amazing hosting the Sunday NFL show. It is so much worse without either of you. I was really sad when they let you go, and I was pissed when they let Samantha go. Corporate America SUCKS. I don’t even watch that train wreck of a show anymore. You two will forever have my heart. ❤
I miss Suzy Kolber on ESPN, especially on Monday Night Countdown.
…..my wife, her boss, head of HR(with company 30 yrs), & more, were let go after the company they were working for was purchased by another company 2 yrs ago
….that company brought “their people” in the company my wife worked for…..you kinda know it’s going to happen, but it still hurts when you were doing a good job, but they let you go anyway….🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
No such thing of job security when you work for someone
