CNN obtained newly unsealed bodycam footage showing Luigi Mangione’s arrest at an Altoona, Pennsylvania, McDonald’s on December 9, 2024, five days after UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was fatally shot. The videos were shown during a suppression hearing last December, but are being publicly released for the first time. CNN’s Kara Scannell reports.

FREE LUIGI🎉🎉🎉
If only the billionaires cared more about not f**king and eating kids, we could have a healthcare system that actually cares about people instead of profiting from their misery.
Free him!

Oh oh CNN GOT IT FIRST? That’s all that matters right?
Wouldnt have been caught if he thinned out his eyebrows.
Damn it. Stay strong young man. Thompson was a criminal & WE all know it.
The same people celebrating Luigi are suddenly clutching their pearls over a live stream of an execution of a mass murderer. You can’t cheer for one form of extreme violence while pretending to take the moral high ground on another.
I wonder how many deaths the private healthcare CEO was responsible for, due to denial of service ?
