I don’t understand the students’ complaints.
I grew up in the 50s in Southern California. No air conditioning, a minimum of 36 kids per class and the teacher had no aides or room mothers. Additionally the teacher had to to teach to various intellectual levels and kids with various learning problems all in the same room. I was/am severely dyslexic and am high on the autism spectrum but with a tested IQ over 150. Other kids were of average IQ ,and some would be in special ed today. Of my class over 90 % went on to University and graduated.
