Deep in the Amazon, a medical mission spirals into a fight for survival when Boiúna, a colossal ancient predator, awakens to reclaim her domain. In the jungle where nature holds absolute power, she decides who lives and who dies. When the trailer for Beware Boiúna dropped, it looked like just another Anaconda rip-off… but does this giant snake movie have more to offer than just a slithering menace? Thanks for checking out my Beware Boiúna (2026) Movie Review!

Yep, those count!!

Whoop…I can’t wait…but I’ll probably have to…not showing anywhere in the UK as far as I can see😅
Good gravy that sucks! It was way better and fun than I’d hoped for!!
NOOOOOooooo!!! Can…not…think…about…Arachnophobia!!! 😱😱😱 I trace mine back to the old B&W sci-fi movie Tarantula I watched (but shouldn’t have) as a 5 or 6 yr old – never been the same since!
Not a horror fan as you know Chris, but there have been some great animal horrors/creature features like Cujo, Pet Sematary, Jaws, The Birds, Jurassic Parks, to name a few.
Love me a good ol fashioned creature feature. Add to that a big budget theatrical release count me in. Plan to see it this weekend. Hope it’s good 🤞🤞
I hope you have fun with it!
Surprisingly good! My wife covered her face a couple times but liked the movie! Character development was great! Crawl, Deep Blue Sea & Lake Placid stand out!
Those are excellent creature features!!
Surprised we were the only ones in the cinema seeing this. Seems the marketing wasn’t much, but we enjoyed the film. Apparently, in some scenes the snake is visible, but you’d have to look very well to see it, well camouflaged. There was a great up close view of the snake’s face during the final action sequence. About creature feature I like, The ghost and the Darkness.
Heading out to see it tonight. Thanks for the review.
These are fun movies we need more of these kind of movies like special mission to Dinosaur Island kind of stuff
Wow, did not expect this. The trailer wasn’t that exciting..
The second Anaconda movie, Anacondas, is honestly so so so underrated. I personally find it better than the first. That, Rogue, and Eight Legged Freaks have got to be my favorite creature features.
Loved how the direction and camera work often made the audience feel like the threat of the snake was encircling the audience. As the drama got tighter and tighter, we felt like we were trapped in the coils of its constriction, and it kept squeezing until it was ready to take its chomp… and that first chomp – you know the one! – paid off extremely well because of this. From then on we were at the mercy of the movie more than we were at the mercy of the snake. It was brilliant.
