But what do you mean by enthusiastic consent? If I propose having sex with a woman and she’s like “yeah, sure whatever” is that assault? How enthusiastic does she have to be for it to be legal?

At this point I’m wondering if consent requires a notorized affidavit and a breathalyzer test.

Thank you for asking. “Yeah, sure, whatever” is not enthusiastic or even clear tbh, and is therefore grounds for assault if she decides to pursue it. It’s something a coerced person says. I hope this helps.

We might need a crash course of the word “enthusiastic”. Websters Dictionary defines “enthusiastic” as ” filled with or marked by enthusiasm”…. “Enthusiasm” means “strong excitement of feeling” and/or “something inspiring zeal or fervor”. So no, “yeah, sure whatever” is not ENTHUSIASTIC enough. Hope this helps.

If this helps, I have only ever said “yeah sure fine” after having been asked 30+ times with increasing exasperation. This is not a yes, it is a “please dont yell at me or break up with me”

Why would you want to have sex with a woman that isn’t excited to have sex with you? I literally don’t understand how hard this concept is for people.

Seriously that last sentence makes it seem like YOU are the problem, you are exactly the type of guy that us women would avoid simply for how you think so little of us and have no respect for our autonomy by making a mockery of it with that sentence. I am so glad that I’m married so I don’t have to deal with men like you on the dating scene anymore. Yes I’ve been with men like you before and ladies run very very far away because they are so quick to vilify you and victimize themselves when they were the ones seeking you out for intimacy.
